First off i want to say that I did not vote. If you don’t like that, frankly, I don’t care. Also, I have given no support to either campaign, and if you dont like that, again, I don’t care.
Let me tell you my political, moral, and whatever else view i feel like giving on this entire election. Let me start off by asking you a question.
If given the choice between eating dog shit or cat vomit, because you are hungry and they are the only two things available at the time, and what you have been eating up until this time has left a bad taste in your mouth, and you want some “change”, Which would you pick? Keep in mind that this is not the last time you will ever eat, there will be other opportunities. In short, that’s how i see this election. It is terrible that the first time that my voice matters in this country, I get dog shit and cat vomit to eat.
I also have been hearing “you gotta chose the lesser of two evils”. Why? If i chose the lesser of two evils aren’t i still choosing Evil? How does that make any sense? That argument for a reason why I should have voted in this election makes absolutely no sense to me whatsoever. It is the most ridiculous argument I have ever heard and i hate it…with a passion.
Now I am not going to get into why I dislike either party, I will simply say i had no faith or trust in either campaign.
Alright, down to business. I have been hearing on just about every news station, hearing from just about every person, and seeing on every campaign related image that this is a “Historic Day”. Why though? What makes this election so much different then the past elections? Because we have a black candidate running for the office of president? Or is it because we could have possibly had a woman as VP? If you dont understand why people have been saying it’s a “historic day” then i suggest you stop reading this because you obviously pay no attention to the world around you. ( Excuse me for being harsh there)
The question is “Why is it historic” ? It is obvious. There no point in me pussy-footing around it. It is a historic day because a black person is now president. God damn you all, seriously. I’m not talking about voting for Obama, unlike some people I dont care if Obama was purple and gay, it makes no difference to me. What I’m annoyed about, is that no matter how hard people try to over come differences in this world, color is always going to be a divider. Racism will NEVER go away. People will still be predjudice about the minor differences that make up who we are. I am completely and utterly disappointed in this country and it’s people.
For all of you that had the following reasons as why they vote….
“I voted for Obama cause hes black”
“I vote for Mccain because I dont want a black person in office”
“I voted for Mccain because he’s white”
“I voted for Obama because Mccain is going to die in office”
…Fuck You.
Those are the WORST reasons to vote ever. It sickens me that someone would throw away their vote on something so trivial as the color of their skin or how old they are. It is completely ridiculous to vote on something THIS big based on something SO small.
Let me get something else off my chest. For all of you that decided not to vote for Mccain because you think hes too old or that he is going to die in office…I think you are the BIGGEST group of retards that have ever walked the earth.
No one knows when your going to die. If we knew that, the world would be a MUCH different place. So think about it, Obama has the same chance Mccain has of dying in office, 100%. No one knows, but God, when our time on this earth has run out. They both have the same chances of not living out their term. So to say you are not going to vote for someone becasue he “might” die, is ridiculous. That is like me not getting car insurance because the person I want to be my insurance agent, might die, and I am left with someone I dont care for. I’m sure the police officer would completely understand why I was driving without insurance and smashed into the back of one of thoe gay-ass, hybrid, prius bullshits. (Sorry about my grammar there, when I think of how snooty prius owners are, I can see nothing but red)
So for those of you who let that alter their vote, please, I beg you, take a long walk of a short peir.
Also, I heard someone say on the daily show/ colbert report election coverage a little bit ago, that one of Obama’s friends compared him to Lincoln. Are you kidding me? This man has done NOTHING on the level of what Abraham Lincoln accomplished. All hes done up until this point was say what he is “going to do” and then get elected for it. You are an ignorant, delusional, bastard that should really think before comparing a person who has done nothing , to a historic figurehead that formed this so called “great” country.
And for those of you who are saying he is the anti-christ, yes i am one of them. It’s more of a joke then being serious though. What I did find amusing is what my one friend said about the matter. She said she “doesn’t think Obama is the anti-Christ…she just thinks once the real one get here, they’ll be best friends”. I apologize if you think it’s wrong that I laughed my ass off at it, but let us be honest, we don’t have much time left here. ( I say that in the most vague way possible so for all of you who will try to “pwn” me for saying the world is coming to an end can shut up)
So this is a historic day, eh? Because a black man was elected president. Why can’t it be historic because a capable and competant leader was elected that could bring this country off the road to hell that it has been on lately? No, it has to be historic because of the color of his skin. Well I’ll be damned if that is not the most hypocritical thing I have ever heard. No matter what we do to try and progress as a race, we still have this warped sense of reality that the small things matter. News flash, they dont. The color of a person’s skin, their gender, and their sexual preferences…wait no nevermind about the last one cause homosexuality is icky…anyways, none of that stuff matters.
People will never be able to evolve past these differences because by nature we are greedy, predjudice, dishonest, and flawed. There’s no way around that. However, if you REALLY want change…a man we hardly know isn’t going to be able to bring about that on the level we need. Until i see Obama ending predjudice, greed, and fixing all of our flaws that we have as humans, I WILL NOT support him. I know thats alot for a simple man to handle and yes, I understand that those are some high expectations as well. I say this mostly because NO ONE can solve any of the REAL problems we face as a nation, world, or race but one person. God.
No one can bring change over night, no matter what anyone says. Only He can.
So on this historic day, I just want to say, thanks for everyone that voted. Wait, nevermind. I want to thank the ones of you that made an educated, rational, and serious vote. I appreciate you all, you did your best, no matter who you voted for. For those of you who voted based on those idiotic reasons I mentioned before, you know how i feel. Thanks for reading…oh and
Obama, Mccain, Biden, and Palin….can all get bent.
Have a good 4 years America, I’m going to mexico!
